In response to customer needs APS launched a commercial vehicle re-finishing service in 1999. Like the rest of the business, this has been grown carefully, and is now a highly-professional facility with the capacity for several vehicles simultaneously.
It began as a two-bay workshop, with an additional temporary shelter. To achieve the standards required by clients, it was the subject of a phased investment and development over several years, and has now grown into a sophisticated facility with the capacity for five vehicles at one time, and employs five people.
The facility has has been developed to work in partnership with existing clients on phased repainting and refurbishment programmes, but can undertake similar work for anyone.
It now has a shotblasting facility with recycling unit and dust extraction capabilities, a 55' x 20' spray booth which can bake off at 70 degrees, allowing for completion of paintwork to factory finish standards after shotblasting.
Paintwork refinishing is undertaken on commercial vehicles trailers, trucks, and a variety of mobile plant items. This paint work can be done under 'ICI Fleetwatch Sceme'.
